Although I went to great pains to make sure my site looks essentially the same, there have been some back-end adjustments: widgetized hotness. Yes, finally I can stop building individual sidebars and just use widgets the way God intended.

So WordPress 2.6 was released earlier this week, and while it is pretty awesome (I love lots of the new features), it has totally broken my neato-mosiquito javascript Quicktime thing using Shadowbox. A dude created a WP plugin for Shadowbox that worked in 2.5 (and presumably also would in 2.6), but it hasn't been updated since April, so it doesn't ( Read more... )

Proper backups are like eating your vegetables -- we all say we'll do it and that it is a good idea, but it is so much easier NOT to do it and eat Oreo cookies instead.
